Shirley B. Allen, 66, of St. Paris, died at 10:33 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003 
in Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney. She was born on Dec. 18, 1936 in St. 
Paris, the daughter of the late Edward and Donna (Shadley) Current. She 
married James E. McKenzie in 1955 and he preceded her in death in 1973. On 
March 10,1978 she married Virgil Allen and he survives. She is also survived 
by three sons and two daughters-in-law, James K. McKenzie of Pennsylvania, 
Harold Michael and Carrie McKenzie of North Olmstead and Daryl L. and Darlene 
McKenzie of Newport, R. I.; and one stepdaughter and son-in-law, Debbie and 
Kenny Charles of Piqua. She has 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 
Shirley is also survived by three sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Paul 
Wheeland and Eleanor and Tom Marquis of St. Paris and Jennie and Frank Cottrel 
of Lee, Fla. In addition to her parents and first husband she was preceded in 
death by her brother William L. Current. Shirley was a 1954 graduate of St. 
Paris High School, a member of the St. Paris Church of the Nazarene and was 
also employed by Decker's Meats in Piqua for 25 years. Visitation will be held 
from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5 in Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St. 
Fletcher. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in the funeral 
home, with Pastor Bill Blaine presiding. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, 
St. Paris
