Anderson, age 81 of DeGraff, passed away at 2:45 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in his residence. He was born on March 31, 1927 in Scioto County, Ohio the son of the late Oscar and Nannie Lou (Asbury) Anderson. He married Mary Anderson on May 23, 1953 and she preceded him in death on January 19, 2003. He is survived by six children: Connie (Jay) Houston of Saint Paris, Kim Richard (Teri) Anderson of Naples, Florida, Joyce (James) Campbell of West Liberty, Rodney (Lora) Anderson of DeGraff, Norma (Dave) Rockwood of Medway and Alan (Robyn) Anderson of Springfield. He was a loving grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Ephram (Mary) Anderson of Coldwater, Sylvan (Violet) Anderson of Lima, and Cliff (Virginia) Anderson of DeGraff. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Cecil served in the U.S Army during WW II with the Anti-Aircraft Artillery. He attended the Rosewood Church of Christ in Christian Union. He was employed by Frantz Brothers, Inc of Sidney for 34 years retiring in 1989. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. (noon) in the Church of Christ in Christian Union, 10860 E. Archer St, Rosewood, Ohio with Reverend Leroy Hughes presiding. Burial will follow in Hill Cemetery, Creek Road, Saint Paris, Ohio. There will be two hours of visitation prior to the funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the church on Thursday.
