The St. Paris News Dispatch
Frances, the wife of Solomon Apple, died at her home, one and one half mile 
southeast of St Paris on last Saturday. Mrs Apple was born in Jackson Twp 
almost 77 years ago, being the oldest in a family of eight children born to 
Jacob and Anna Kessler. She was born June 11, 1837, and died April 18, 1914, 
being 76 years, 10 months and 5 days. She married Solomon Apple on September 
25, 1861, living over 42 years enjoying life together. A son, Perry F Apple, 
who survives with his father came to bless this home. The funeral services 
were conducted Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, Rev MR Mohler officiating. 
Interment was made in Spring Grove Cemetery
