abstract 
Luther E Apple, 69 died early Monday in the Veterans Administration Hospital, 
Cincinnati.
He was born April 20, 1902, a son of Francis and Clara Stephenson Apple.
Mr Apple was a retired farmer and former employee of the Jenkins Grain Co.
He had been a member of the Champaign County Fair Board 29 years.  He was a 
veteran of World War II and a member of the Zion Lutheran church.
Surviving are his wife the former, Eileen Bishop, four sons, Albert, Terry, 
Larry and Louis, one daughter Mrs. Bruce(Ruth) Kempton, Washington D.C.; two 
brothers Charles and Robert.
Services will be conducted Wed Richeson-Wickham Funeral Home by the Rev Luther 
Buchholtz.  Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery.
