Floyd James Baker, 69, of 1709 Morgan, Springfield, died at 4:10am today in 
Mercy Medical Center where he had been a patient the past nine days.  He had 
been ill the past year.
Baker was born in Champaign County, Aug. 11, 1904, the son of Arthur and Daisy 
Nickesl Baker.  He wife Elsie, died in 1973.
He was a retired truck driver for the Springfield Lumber Co and attended the 
Pentecostal Church of Christ in Springfield
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Flossie Smith(Tellie) of Fletcher, nieces 
and nephews.  Four sisters and a brother proceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm Saturday in the Richeson-Wickham 
and Atkins Funeral Home in St. Paris.  Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery
