BALLARD, Margaret E. 88, of Urbana, passed away Tuesday October 25, 2005 at 
9:35 P.M. in her residence. She was born in Urbana, Ohio, on October 6, 1917, 
the daughter of Alonzo E. and Eva Belle (Boyer) Randall . She was a member of 
the Concord United Methodist Church for over 60 years, United Methodist Women, 
Homemaker's Club, Garden Club, and a 4-H advisor for many years. She loved 
reading, crafting and mowing her lawn. Survivors include one son and daughter-
in-law; James Lee and Barbara Ballard; one daughter, Rebecca A. Master, all of 
Urbana; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jennifer (Larry) Lutz, Nicklus, 
Brandon Lutz, Tammi (Bryant) Mustar, Zachary, Caitlin, Megan and Autumn 
Mustar, Mark and Jami Hackworth, Charlie and Maggie Hackworth, Paul and Lori 
Hackworth, Paul Jr., Ryan, Leann, Tiffany and Brandon Hackworth, Ken and Beth 
Hackworth, Jarod and Evie Hackworth; one brother, Robert E. Randall of Urbana; 
and two sisters, Ruth E. Skaggs of Urbana and Mildred Hammond of Akron, 
Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Eva Randall, her 
grandparents, George and Septra Randall, Orville and Belle Boyer, also by her 
husband, James Leslie Ballard on March 8, 1997, two sisters, Eloise Goings and 
Virginia McKeever, and two brothers, Kenneth and William Randall. Friends may 
call Friday 5-8 p.m. in the WALTER-SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Funeral 
services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Concord United Methodist 
Church, with Rev. Wayne Engle officiating. The body will lie in state in the 
church one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery.
