H. Elston, 70, of St. Paris, died Thursday, March 19, 1992 at 12:03 a.m. in Me
Mercy Medical Center, Springfield.
Born September 23 1921, in Champaign County, he was a son of John Robert and V
Vera (Niece) Barger.
He was married to Helen Ruth O'Dell on June 15, 1962.  She preceded him in dea
death on November 18, 1987.
He was engaged in farming and was a retired employee of the New York Central, Pe
Penn Central and Conrail Railroad Systems.
He was a 1939 graduate of St. Paris High School and was a member of the K of P L
Lodge No. 433 of Westville and the National Riflemen's Assoc.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 pm in the Richeson-Wickham & Atkins 
Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Stewart of the First Christian Church of 
Urbana officiating.  Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, St. Paris
