Laurel (Hank) Barger, 83, St. Paris, died Thursday, Oct 1, 1998, at 8:10 pm in 
the McAuley Center
Mr. Barger was born Champaign County to James I and Ida Mae (Gumpert) Barger.  H
He was a retired farmer.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Hela (Breuer) Barger, St. Paris; sons 
James (Michelle) Barger and Tim (Colleen)Barger, all of St. Paris; 
grandchildren Jeremy and Teryan Barger, Sydney and Courtney Barger; brother, 
Richard Barger, St. Paris: sisters, Asenath Erwin and Betty (Riley) Roush, all o
of Urbana and Alice (Max) Skidmore, Lakeland, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parent and his brothers, Glendon, Millard and H
Howard Barger.  He was a member of Moose Loge No. 1215.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 Am. with the Rev. James Cope 
officiating.  Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, St. Paris
