BARTENS, Martha Lois Age 83 of Springfield, passed away Friday, July 17, 2009 
at the Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born January 19, 1926 in 
Springfield, the daughter of the late Henry P. & Lena (Anderson) Bartens. She 
was a member of the Star of the East Rebekah Lodge #339, Sara Innis Lodge and 
Home Lodge. Preceded in death by 2 brothers Clifford and Fred Bartens and by a 
sister Gladys Burk. Survivors include her 2 nieces Sally and Martha Burk and 
friend Pam Peterman. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 
at 11:00 a.m. at the Jones Kenney Zechman Funeral Home, Springfield. Rev. Gary 
Baker officiating. Burial Oakdale Cemetery, Urbana. The family will receive 
friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday. Rebekah services 
will be held at 10:45 a.m. The family wishes to thank Kathy, Jackie, Kathy, 
Sarah, Angie, and the entire staff of Springfield Manor for their excellent 
care given and the love shown to Lois throughout the 38 years she resided at 
the former I.O.O.F. Home. Donations may be made to the Sunshine Fund, C/O 
Grand Lodge Office, P O Box 1088, Springfield, Ohio 45501
