BAUGHMAN, Richard L. 68, of Saint Paris, passed away on Thursday, September 
29, 2005 at 8:55 p.m. surrounded by his loving family in his residence. He was 
born on February 9, 1937 in Logan County, Ohio, the son of the late Lewis 
Presley and Naomi Grace (Erwin) Baughman. He married Arleen Everett on July 
12, 1958 and she survives. He is also survived by two sons and daughter in 
law: Reverend Barry and Diane Baughman of Lewistown, Ohio and Bryan Baughman 
of Quincy; a daughter and son in law: Denise and Richard Kessler of Urbana; 
six grandchildren, three step grandchildren, nine step great grandchildren; 
three sisters: Carolyn Deaton of Christiansburg, Marilyn Mason of St. Paris, 
Nancy (Roger) Koerner of Urbana; and a brother, Tom (Pat) Baughman of Sidney. 
Richard was a graduate of Harrison-Adams High School in Rosewood and a member 
of Lewistown-Trinity United Methodist Church in Lewistown, Ohio. He retired in 
1996 after 30 years of employment with Navistar in Springfield, Ohio. Funeral 
services will be held on Monday, October 3, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the ATKINS-
SHIVELY FUNERAL HOME, 216 South Springfield Street, Saint Paris, Ohio with 
Reverend Frank Kampel of Terre Haute United Methodist Church officiating and 
assisted by Reverend Barry Baughman of Lewistown-Trinity United Methodist 
Church, Lewistown. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, N. State Route 
235, Conover, Ohio. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, 
October 2, 2005 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial 
contributions may be made to Hospice of Community Hospital, 530 South Burnett 
Road, Springfield, Ohio 45505.
