BAYLISS, Ronald L. 74, of Springfield, died Saturday February 4, 2012 in 
Forest Glen Health Campus. He was born January 5, 1938 in Grantsburg, 
Wisconsin, the son of Whitley and Evelyn (Anderson) Bayliss. He served his 
country in the United States Navy. He worked as a Systems Analyst for Robbins 
and Myers for twenty-two years and later worked and retired from Lexis Nexis 
in Dayton. Ron loved watching and going to NASCAR races. He enjoyed his annual 
fishing trips with his brothers-in-law and families. Survivors include his 
wife of fifty-two years, Jane "Vicky" (McGee) Bayliss; daughter and son-in-
law, Kimberly and Michael Bellew of Urbana; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and 
Laurie Bayliss of Springfield; sister, Bonnie Carper of Springfield; two 
grandchildren, Brandi (Blake) Garberich and Kristen Bayliss; two great-
grandchildren, Katylynn and Adalynn Garberich; aunt, Bertha Tapper of Florida; 
numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A gathering of family and friends will 
be held Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, 
where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in 
Terre Haute Cemetery.
