Funeral Home
BEACOM, Maryellen Sheppard 94 of Springfield passed away on September 6, 2012 
at Hearth & Home at El Camino. She was born on August 17, 1918 in Mount 
Pleasant, PA, the daughter of J. Arthur and Iona (Leslie) Sheppard. She was 
preceded in death by her daughter Brenda in 1972 and her husband Vaun in 1983. 
She was employed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base during World War II. She 
was a teacher in the Graham Local District and Urbana and Springfield City 
Schools. Her survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Tina Beacom 
of Springfield, a son and daughter-in-law, Josef and Linda Beacom of Pleasant 
Hill, and a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Terry Hiles of 
Mechanicsburg, ten grandchildren: Heather Hiles, Bryan Hiles, Mike Beacom, 
Ericah Bess, Jennifer Beacom, Lorrie Beacom, Heather Cox, and Bobby Foster; 
eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of 
Highlands United Church of Christ and several retired teachers' organizations. 
Friends may visit at JACKSON LYTLE & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, Springfield on 
Monday, September 10, 2012 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Funeral service to 
immediately follow with Pastor Gary Percesepe to officiate. Burial Terre Haute 
Cemetery
