Margaret was born April 10, 1920, in Champaign County, daughter of the late Warder and Nina (Kite) Stevens. She married Donald D. Gorman on Aug. 6, 1942, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1988. On Feb. 3, 1990, Margaret married Vincent Beightol, and he died Dec. 28, 1998. Margaret is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Bruce) Springer and Shirley (Bruce) Carman, all of St. Paris, and Bev (Alan) Huizenga of Bradenton, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Michelle (Mike) Stevens of Springfield, Kyle (Juli) Springer of St. Paris, Kathy (Joe) Mum/ of Springfield, Kimberly (Michael) Blair of West Liberty, Kristine (David) Young of New Carlisle, Bradley (Lisa) Pine of Mechanicsburg, Ryan (Tracy) Pine of Rosewood and Rebecca Pine of St. Paris; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Miriam Jenkins of Urbana; a sister- in-law, Maxine Stevens of St. Paris; three stepchildren, James (Joyce) Beightol of Kennedy, N.Y., Leon (Barb) Beightol of Falconer, N.Y. and Dariene (Mike) Mendrick of Jamestown, N.Y.; one stepson-in-law, Lennie Max Starr of Falconer, N.Y.; 1 1 step grandchildren; and numerous step great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and two husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roderick Stevens; a brother in law, Bill Jenkins; and a stepdaughter, Linda Starr. Margaret was a 1938 graduate of Christiansburg-Jackson High School and a member of the Grafton United Methodist Church, St. Paris. She attended Bliss Business College in Columbus and formerly was employed by Graham Local Schools at Graham South as a secretary until her retirement in 1982. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, St. Paris, with the Revs. Mark Atterhold (Grafton UMC) and Doug Flinn presiding. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
