Bellinger, 77, of P.O. Box 900, St. Paris, passed away at 5:49 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2003 in Mercy Medical Center, Springfield. He was bom in St. Paris on Jan. 31,1926, the son of the late Walter and Anna (Grouse) Boilinger. Mr. Bellinger was a 1944 graduate of St. Paris High School and a member of St. Paris United Methodist Church. In 1984, he retired from the Ohio Department of Agriculture where he had been employed as a grain warehouse examiner. Roger had also been active in farming, tax preparation, and as an insurance agent. He was a member of the Champaign County Genealogical Society, and a former member of the National Farmers Organization. On Dec. 9, 2000 he married Audrey (Spangler) Moats and she survives along with three sons, Alan (Jane) Boilinger of St. Paris, David (Teresa) Bellinger of Troy, and Tom (Diane) Boilinger of Mt. Sterling; eight stepsons; five grandchildren, Mark and Matt Boilinger of St. Paris, Kyle and Madelyn Boilinger of Troy, and John Boilinger of Mt. Sterling; 22 stepgrandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis A. (Evans) Boilinger who passed away on Oct. 24, 1997. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24 in the St. Paris Untied Methodist Church, corner of Church and Walnut streets, with the Rev. Oran Thomas officiating. Burial will take place in Spring Grove Cemetery, St. Paris. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday in the Richeson-Wickham and Atkins Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St., St. Paris. Memorial contributions may be made in Roger's name to the Cancer Association of Champaign County, P.O. Box 38125, Urbana, OH 43078.
