Born in John township, March 31, 1892, he was the son of McClelland and Loretta Bodey Bodey Berry. In his early life he worked with his father as a stone mason. F For twenty years he was janitor of the St. Paris schools. On December 23, 1914 he was married to Vernal Beekman in Johnson township. He w was a member of the St. Paris Baptist church and he attended the Millerstown s school. The deceased had resided in Champaign county all of his life. Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. McClelland Berry; the widow, Vernal Berry; one daughter, Mrs. Frances (Camilla) Kessler of St. Paris; three sisters, Mrs. Otto Pence and Mrs. Charles Arbogast, both of St. Paris and Mrs. G George Wills of Dayton; and three grandchildren. The body was removed to the Baker funeral home in St. Paris where services are to be held at 2:30 pm Saturday in charge of Rev. Rex VanCourt, past of the St. P Paris Baptist church. Burial is to be made in Spring Grove Cemetery.
