One of the two Biddle sons in the armed forces, he was a private first class with with the 35th infantry Regiment. News of his death was received by Mrs. Biddle today in a telegram from the Secr Secretary of Defense. a 1948 graduate of Concord school, Biddle entered the Army in December 1950, and and received basic training and Camp Breckenridge, Kentucky. Before entering the service, he was employed by the Standard Oil filling st station on Water street in Urbana. Previously he had worked four years for C.W. Blankenship on 213 Miami Street i including summer vacations while he was still in school His brother Seaman Apprentice Charles R Biddle, enlisted in the Navy last November and is a torpedoman's mated aboard the USS Prairie in the Pacific. Born June 6, 1929, Nelson attended Concord school from the sixth grade on and w was a member of the basketball and baseball teams. He also attended Westville s school Four of his younger brothers and sisters were in Concord school this morning and were unaware of the tragedy.
