BIRKHOLD, 81, of Conover, died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Piqua memorial Hospital where she had entered three days prior to her death. She had been in failing health for the past 10 months. She was born near Rosewood, December 29, 1884, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Wilson) Espy and had resided in Miami County for the past 47 years. She attended Rosewood schools. Se was married to Jasper W. Birkohld, October of 1906. He preceded her in death January 27, 1951. She was a member of Fletcher EUB Church, Fidelity Chapter No. 88, Order of Eastern Star of Lean, Civics and Sunshine Clubs and the Pat Matrons Club. Survivors include two sons, Paul E., New Carlisle, and Stanley C. of Springfield; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her body was taken to Suber Funeral Home for services at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Dana Heaton, pastor of Fletcher EUB Church, officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be made in Rosedale Cemetery, Carysville.
