ROSEWOOD - Dorothy J. (Wheaton) Bishop, 84, of Rosewood, passed away at 6:35 
p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2010, in Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, as a result of 
an automobile accident.
She was born Dec. 30, 1925, a daughter of the late Lauren and Irene (Kelley) 
Wheaton.
She married Willis E. "Woody" Bishop on Jan. 1, 1947; and he preceded her in 
death Feb. 26, 2009.
She is survived by two sons, Clarence "Gene" (Kathy) Bishop of Pahrump, Nev., 
and Jerry (Donna) Bishop of Rosewood; four grandchildren, Drs. Nicki (Kevin) 
Kallmeyer of Cincinnati, Kelly (Jodi Adams) Bishop of Rosewood, David Bishop, 
of Phoenix, Ariz., Candace Bishop of Las Vegas, Nev.; and six great-
grandchildren, Genevieve, Giuliana and Ettienne Kallmeyer, Kole and Bailey 
Bishop and Raiden McCain.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Carroll 
Wheaton.
Dorothy was a 1942 graduate of Christiansburg Jackson High School.
She and her husband were dairy farmers until 1972. Dorothy also worked for 
Shepard Grain for 46 years as an office manager.
She was a member of the Champaign County Farm Bureau.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 
S. Springfield St., Saint Paris. Burial will follow in Terre Haute Cemetery. 
Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday in the 
funeral home.
