Funeral Home
Beatrice Edna (Jenkins) Bishop, 93, of Springfield, died peacefully in her 
sleep on September 12, 2012, at 5:10 a.m. at Oakwood Village, where she had 
resided since 2004. Bea was born in Urbana, Ohio, to Oscar Guy and Essie M. 
Jenkins on July 24, 1919. She went to high school at Milford Center and 
graduated from Urbana Business College. She retired from Robertson Can Company 
in Springfield. Bea is preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Essie, a 
sister, Louise Oelker, and a brother, Jack.
She is survived by two daughters, Sue Castle of Springfield and Mary Bishop of 
Dayton, four sons, Ron Bishop and his wife Becky of Springfield, Homer Bishop 
and his wife Jill of Enon, Ralph Bishop Jr. of Springfield and Rick Bishop and 
his wife Tracey of Enon, grandchildren, Tammy, Tim A., Belinda, Randy, Angela, 
Tim H., Courtney and Tracey, and 14 great-grandchildren. A private graveside 
service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, 
memorial contributions may be made to United Senior Services or Community 
Mercy Hospice in Bea's honor. Condolences may be forwarded to the family by
