Born in Patriot, Ind, Mar 31, 1906, he was a son of John and Mae Simpson Black. He lived in St. Paris 30 years and was retired from Delco Moraine Corp., Dayton, where he was a millright. He was a member of St. Paris United Methodist Church. His first wife the former Mary Feight, died in 1940. In 1942, he married Edna Rockel, who survives. Also surviving him are two sons, Douglas and James, Los Angeles; three daughters, Mrs. Norman Wedhorn(Jaqueline)Mich;Mrs Robert Forrer(Patty) and Mrs Porrter Thompson(Judith) a stepson Elwood Baker; step daughter Mrs Ralph Marshall(Waveline);and one sister Mrs. Loretta Briggs. Funeral services to be conducted Friday by Rev. Marvin Dowson. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
