Bodey, 92, formerly of Cable died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at The Gables at Green Pastures. He served in the Coast Guard during World War II, was a member of Harmony Lodge #8 F&AM and was a former president of Perpetual Federal Savings and Loan in Urbana. He was born July 31, 1910, in Champaign County to the late Carl and Minnie Ammon Bodey Sr. and was predeceased by a son, Tyson Bodey in 1990; three sisters, Ilo Cotrell, Blanche Vorpe and Ruth McGuire; a brother, Forrest Counts; and his wives, Edith Carrick Bodey in 1964 and Marie Baham Bodey in 1998. He is survived by a son, Paul (Paula) Bodey of Marysville; two grandchildren, Ben and Tyson Bodey of Marysville; stepchildren, Margaret and Russ Markin of Mingo, Rick and Jeannie Baham of West Liberty and Linda and Eli Matthews of Naples, Fla.; and several step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Walter-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 642 S. Main St., Urbana, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Oak Dale Cemetery in Urbana.
