He married on December 7, 1968 and she survives. Together they raised three sons. He was a loving grandfather to seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Murl, Elmer, Paul and Donald; and sisters, Ellen, Vivian, Mable, and Hazel. Charles attended the St. Paris Church of the Nazarene, and he retired in 1993 after 30 years of service as a custodian at Graham North, Rosewood. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint Paris with Reverends Leroy Hughes and Peter Faville presiding. Burial will follow in Upper Honey Creek Cemetery, S. Elm Tree Road, Saint Paris.
