Mrs. Alta Leota Brecount, 83, of 176 N Heck Hill Rd., died at 6:45pm Wednesday 
in her residence following three years of illness.
Born Nov.3, 1890 in Johnson Township, a daughter of Douglas and Amanda Shawver 
Barger, she was a life-long resident of the St. Paris area.  She was a member 
of the Zion Lutheran Church, St. Paris.
Her husband Frederick, died in 1945 and a sister, Viola also is deceased.
Survivors include one son, Marvin Brecount of St. Paris; one daughter Mrs 
Martha Young of Troy and one brother, Walter Barger of St. paris
Services will be conductd at 2:00 pm Saturday in the Richeson-Wickham and 
Atkins Funeral home, by the Rev Marvin Dowson, paster of the St. Paris United 
Methodist church.  Burial will be in in Spring Grove Cemetery
