Mrs. Sarah Pyle Brown,88, N. Springfield Street, a life-long resident of 
Champaign County, died at 5 pm Friday in the Urbana Care Center where she had 
been a patient, five weeks.
She was born in Adams Twp Sept 30, 1881, the daughter of Hezekiah and Margaret 
Speece Pyle.  She was married in St. Paris Sept 10, 1902 to Frank Brown, who 
died Oct 17, 1953.
Mr. and Mrs. Brown operated a neighborhood grocery here for years known as the 
Wedge Grocery.  She was a member of the United Methodist church and the WSCS 
of that church.
Services will be conducted im the Baker Funeral home 2 pm Monday by Rev Marvin 
Dowson.  Burial will be in Spring Grove.
