Edith Marie Burden, 92, of Urbana, Ohio, died Sunday, April 30, 2006, at 10:12 
a.m. in her son's residence. 



She was born July 10, 1913, in Darke County, Ohio, to Manford and Lula (Brown) 
Houseman. She was a homemaker. 



Survived by three daughters, Dolores (Dick) Atchison of Springfield, Joyce 
Prince of St. Paris, Sue (Michael) Niemeyer of Grove City, seven sons, James E. 
Burden of Cable, Richard (Rea) Burden of Lakeview, Mike (Beverly) Burden of 
Westerville, Bill Burden of Urbana, Steve (MiNan) Burden of Missouri, Don 
(Teiga) Burden of South Vienna, Ray (Robin) Burden of Kennard, 39 
grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, many 
stepgrandchildren; sisters, Daisy High of Trotwood and Katy Blackwell of 
Dayton. 



Preceded in death by her parents, husband, William Henry Burden in 1972, 
daughters, Lois Norris in 1995, Betty Louden in 1987, several brothers, 
sisters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 



The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 4, 2006, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 
8 p.m. in the WALTER-SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio, where a funeral 
service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2006, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jim Lyons 
officiating.



Burial to follow in Oak Dale Cemetery.
