Christiansburg -- Funeral services for Charles Butcher, 80, Dayton, former 
resident of this community, will be held at 1 pm Wednesday at the Hoyne 
funeral home in Dayton.
Mr Butcher died Sunday after being in a Dayton rest home for two weeks. He had 
been bedfast for six months.
He was born July 20, 1868 in Champaign county, the son of Joseph and Mary Jane 
Butcher. He was a member of the Congregational Christian Church, 
Christiansburg.
Surviving are his widow, Josephine, five sons, Paul and Harold, Dayton; 
Robert, Piqua; Marion, Minneapolis, Minn; and Joseph N, Springfield; a sister, 
Mrs Jennie Wilson, Chicago, and six grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home. Burial will be in Newson cemetery 
southeast of Christiansburg
