CALLISON, Jerry L. 69, of Urbana passed from this life on Saturday, December 
9, 2006 in his home surrounded by his loving family at his side. Jerry was 
born in Champaign County near Terre Haute on October 18, 1937 the son of James 
G. & Esther L. (Shaffer) Callison. He worked at Navistar International and 
retired after 34 years of service in 1998. He was a loving husband, father, 
grandfather and brother and will be missed by all who knew him. Jerry is 
survived by his wife of 47 years Carolyn (Baumgardner) Callison; son 
Christopher T. (Angie) Callison of Urbana; daughter Kim Carroll (David Levy) 
of New Paltz, New York; three granddaughters, Hannah & Maggie Callison of 
Urbana, and Allison Carroll of New Paltz, New York; three brothers, Jim (Ada) 
Callison of Terre Haute, Steve (Patty) Callison of Thackery, Rodney (Barb) 
Callison of Rosewood; three sisters, Sandra (Roger) Massie of St. Paris, Sue 
(Neal) Nelson of Livermore Falls, Maine, Libby (Britt) Wooten of North 
Hampton, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank his 
special caregiver, Rita VanHoose, Mercy Hospice, and all his family and 
friends for their love and care to Jerry. We are so grateful for the time and 
attention they gave him. A gathering of family and friends will be held on 
Tuesday, December 12, 2006 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, 235 
Miami Street, Urbana. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 
13, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in the Terre Haute United Methodist Church with Pastor 
Brian Wonn and Rev. William Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Terre 
Haute Cemetery, Terre Haute. Published in Springfield News-Sun on December 11,
