The Urbana Daily Citizen
CAMPBELL, Lowell E. 86, of Cable, died at 2:05 P.M. Tuesday, January 10, 2012 
in Mercy McAuley Center, Urbana. He was born July 20, 1925 in Springfield, a 
son of Lowell B. and Leona M. (Miller) Campbell. Lowell worked for Udilite 
Corporation until their closing then worked at and retired from Robbins &Meyer 
Moyno Division. He enjoyed boating, riding motorcycles, jet skiing and was 
known as the "handyman" of Cable. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, 
Donna (Lockwood) Campbell, whom he married on April 7, 1951, daughter, 
Dianna "Dee" Dern and her husband Keith, of Urbana. He was preceded in death 
by his parents, twin sisters, Martha, who died at birth, and sister, Mary 
Sherman and brothers, Gaylord Campbell, and Roger Campbell. The family will 
receive friends 3:00 - 7:00 P.M. Sunday, January 15, 2012 in the WALTER & 
SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 642 S. Main Street, Urbana where funeral services will be 
held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 16, 2012 with Rev. Joyce McKeever 
officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana.
