He was born June 25, 1923 to Frank and Virginia (Riffel) Carpenter. He was employed by Kenosha Auto Transport Company with 50 years of service as a truck driver – with a 47 year safe driving record – delivering International Harvester Trucks. Frank was an avid Cincinnati Reds baseball fan and a ham radio operator, talking to people from all parts of the world. He enjoyed bowling and teaching his grandchildren the "art" of playing pool. Frank is survived by his wife, Marie Carpenter; daughters, Mary (John) Rooks, Angel (Jeff) Wooten, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one sister and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sisters and grandson Bige. Friends may call at the JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS MALEY FUNERAL HOME, North Limestone Street, A Dignity Memorial Provider on Friday, May 20 from 5-8 p.m., and also one hour prior to services at the funeral home, on Saturday, May 21 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Anita James officiating.
