The Urbana Daily Citizen     abstract
James Castle, 84, of Christiansburg, Ohio passed away Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006 
at 8:47 p.m. in the Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. He was born Jan. 8, 
1922 in Johnson County, Kentucky, the son of the late Noah and Katie Castle. 
His first wife, Veda (Johnson), passed away on July 17, 1954. He then married  
Oct. 9, 1959.  He is also survived by five children:  13 grandchildren; 16 
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Veda, 
a daughter Elsie Treon, two grandchildren, one sister, and five brothers. 
James retired from Beech Manufacturing in Saint Paris. Funeral services will 
be held Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the ATKINS-SHIVELY FUNERAL HOME, 
216 S. Springfield St., Saint Paris, Ohio, with Rev. Doug Flinn of the 
Christiansburg United Methodist Church presiding. Burial will follow in Upper 
Honey Creek Cemetery.
