The Urbana Daily Citizen-abstract
Amaryllis Castle of Washington Court House passed away Sunday, December 2, 
2012, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Champaign Co., Ohio, daughter of 
Dorothy and Henry McDaniel, who preceded her in death. Amaryllis was also 
preceded in death by her infant son, Christopher, in 1967. She is survived by 
her husband of 57 years, always celebrated, and was very proud of her years of 
marriage.  Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, December 12, 
2012 at United Methodist Church, 231 N. Main St., Urbana, OH 43078. Burial 
will be at Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana, OH. If desired, donations may be made to 
the American Cancer Society (Southwest Regional Office), 2808 Reading Rd., 
Cincinnati, OH 45206. Arrangements are in the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, 
Beavercreek Chapel.
Amaryllis had a very full life. She was an exceptional cook, an excellent 
seamstress and had a passion for flowers and gardening. Amaryllis was a very 
quality lady with a great sense of humor.
