George E. COFFELT, 94, who resided with his son, Noah A. COFFELT at 3724 
Raymond dr., Fairborn, died at 6:05 a.m. Wednesday in the new Horizon Nursing 
Home following a lengthy illness. He was born June 11, 1871, in Champaign 
County, the son of Henry and Mary Leonard COFFELT. Before retirement, Mr. 
COFFELT was a thresher man by trade. Survivors in addition to his son, are one 
daughter, Mrs. Millie KNOTTS of Westville; three grandchildren, Mrs. Harriett 
MCCAULEY of Dayton, Mrs. Mariene SMITH of Xenia and Lowell KNOTTS of 
Westerville; and two great-grandchildren. His body was taken to the Littleton 
Funeral Home where friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. 
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Walter 
E. Hawke, officiating. Burial will be in the Terre Haute Cemetery.
