Bob was born in Urbana, OH to Robert and Catherine Conroy on October 20, 1926. He attended St. Mary's High School in Urbana and graduated from Springfield College in 1948. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Philippines. In 1948, he married Betty M. Sidders. Bob had a long career in the paper board business and retired in 1995 from Southern Standard Carton Inc., having moved to Louisville, Ky. with his family in 1964. He was a dedicated member of Mother of Good Counsel (now St. Bernadette's) parish, having served as a lector and an extraordinary minister. He was a member of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, and Optimists International. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Elaine Herman. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Betty M. Conroy; daughter, Connie Conroy Crawley; son-in-law, Arthur L. Crawley; sister, Sue Brennan (Ed); and numerous nieces and nephews.
