COX, Christina May 91, of Springfield, passed away at 12:24 AM Thursday, 
September 3, 2009 in Forest Glen. She was born June 20, 1918, in Urbana, the 
daughter of John Clarence and Evadell (Thornton) Schmid. Mrs. Cox attended the 
Lutheran Church and enjoyed sewing and knitting. She had been employed at 
United Board and Carton and at Levine Realty. Survivors include one daughter 
and son-in-law: Becky and Don Capper, New Carlisle, one son and daughter-in-
law; Anthony and Claudia Cox, Tipp City, two grandchildren; Gregory (Kristie) 
Capper and Maureen (Bruce) Hayden, two great grandchildren; Brooke and Matthew 
Hayden. She was preceded in death by her husband Ivan Cox in 1963 , three 
brothers and her parents. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday 
in Oakdale Cemetery, Urbana, with Pastor Rick Clos officiating.
