Emma Dappert, age 87, of DeGraff, passed away at 6:50 a.m. on Thursday, 
December 16, 2010 in Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton.
Emma was born on November 8,1924 in Kolatschowka, Bessarabien (Romania) a 
daughter of the late Emanuel and Eva (Fiedler) Hildebrandt. "
On March 8, 1947 she married Christian Dappert and he preceded her in death on 
July 2, 1986. Emma is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Gisela and Jack 
Bowling of Dunlap, TN., two grandchildren, James E. Bowling of Dunlap, TN, 
Julie M. Bowling of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, one great granddaughter, Mikaya C. 
Bowling of Harrah, OK, and three foster great grandchildren, BrookLynn, 
Carsen, and Chase Rogers of Troy. She is also survived by a sister, Ottilie 
Cernyar of Xenia and Ernst (Charlotte) Hildebrandt of DeGraff, numerous nieces 
and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death 
by a son, Hans Dappert, a sister, Else Dappert, three brothers, Arthur, 
Helmut, Alfred Hildebrandt and one infant brother. Emma was of the Lutheran 
faith. She retired from Copeland Corporation, Sidney in 1989 after 25 years of 
employment.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Spring Grove 
Cemetery, N. Heck Hill Road, Saint Paris, Ohio Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 
216 S. Springfield St., Saint Paris, is serving the family.
