DAVIS, Amy L. age 90 of Butler Twp., passed away Thursday, December 23, 2004 
at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born November 14, 1914 in 
St. Paris, Ohio daughter of the late Jesse & Mabel (Maxson) Lee. Mrs. Davis 
was a retired elementary school teacher from the Vandalia-Butler and Trotwood 
School Districts. She was a member of the D.A.R, the Vandalia Senior Citizens, 
the Champaign County Genealogist Society and the Aullwood Audubon Society. She 
was preceded in death by her husband, John K. (Jake) Davis in 1985 and one 
brother, Bud Lee. Amy is survived by 2 daughters, Diane Daily of New Carlisle 
and Karen & husband, Dave Englebert of Butler Twp; 1 nephew, Greg & wife, 
Belinda Lee of Huber Heights; 5 grandchildren, Debbie, Diana, Nathan, Lauren, 
and Lindsey; and 2 great-grandsons, Paul and Ben. Funeral services will be 
held at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 28 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 
139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Thomas Weeks officiating. Burial at 
Evergreen Cemetery, St. Paris, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home on 
Monday evening from 5-8 pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to 
Hospice of Dayton in Amy's memory.
