James Michael Davis, 58, of St. Paris, passed away at 4:25 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 
11, 2011, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 24, 1953, in Dayton, to James Allen and Eleanor Aleene 
(Worrell) Davis.
He was married to Joyce Annette (Line) Davis on May 11, 2001; Jim also is 
survived by his children, nine grandchildren, two brothers and sisters-in-law, 
sister and brother-in-law, He was preceded in death by his father, James Allen 
Davis; and his step- father, William Shultz.
Jim's hobbies included fishing, working with wood, boating and he loved being 
close to his family.
He was a 1972 graduate of Patterson High School and member of the Carpenters 
Union, both of Dayton. He worked for Innovative Custom Exhibit of Dayton and 
Lancaster Management of Indianapolis, Ind.
Jim also was a foster parent with his wife for 20 years for Clark County 
Children Services of Springfield.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at Fisher-Cheney 
Funeral Home, Troy, with Pastor John Shelton officiating. Visitation will be 
from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Smith 
Cemetery, Christiansburg.
