Carl L. Deal, 81, of 14343 Runor Dr., Sidney, went home to be with his Lord 
after a 19-year battle with cancer on Thursday morning at his residence with 
his wife and daughter at his bedside. He was born on February 28,1930 in St. 
Paris, OH the son of the late Ira and Mabel (Cost) Deal.
On June 19,1949 he married Faith Imogene McLain who survives along with three 
sons, Kenneth L. Deal and his wife Joyce of Piqua, OH, Michael A. Deal and his 
wife Kim of Sidney, Stephen C. Deal and his wife Judy of Troy, OH and one 
daughter, Mrs. Clint (Carol) Stover of St.Paris, OH, ten grandchildren, 
fourteen great grandchildren, three sisters, Thetis Scamahorn of New Carlisle, 
OH, Helen Riffell and Anna Henderson both of Piqua, OH. He was preceded in 
death by two brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Deal retired as an electrician from the Copeland Corporation in 1992 after 
43 years of service.
Carl loved working around his house doing all sorts of odd jobs, fixing what 
needed fixing, cutting wood I for the family fireplace and helping his 
children with special projects needing done around their homes. If 7 something 
needed fixed Carl would always come up with a way to solve the problem. Carl 
attended the
First Church of the Nazarene in Sidney.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 27,2011 at 10 a.m. at the 
Cromes Funeral Home, Inc., 302 S. Main Ave. with Rev. Chad Wilson and Pastor 
Lloyd McClure officiating.
Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in St. Paris, OH. The family will receive 
friends on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to Hospice of Champaign County 
in Carl Deal's memory.
Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed
