DRESEN, Edna P. 84, of Troy and formerly of Saint Paris, passed away on 
Monday, December 27, 2004 at 7:50 a.m. in Upper Valley Medical Center. She was 
born in Clark County, Ohio, on April 20, 1920, the daughter of the late 
Raymond E. and Stella Pearl (Cartmell) Coon. Mrs. Dresen attended Cable 
schools. She retired in 1986 as an employee of the Urbana Board of Education. 
On December 25, 1939, Edna married Edward J. Dresen. He passed away on 
September 24, 1976. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also 
preceded in death by one brother, Billy Coon. Survivors include two sons, 
William Joseph (Pat) Dresen of Middleton, Idaho and Robert Joe (Darlene) 
Dresen of Cridersville; one grandson, Mike Dresen of California; three 
granddaughters, Chris Dresen of California, Shari (Matt) Rowe of Urbana and 
Robin (Steve) Murphy of Tipp City; two great-grandchildren, Troy and Brandon 
Murphy of Tipp City; four brothers, Raymond "Buss" Coon of Middleton, Idaho, 
James (Margit) Coon of Urbana, Donald Coon and Thomas (Janice) Coon both of 
Saint Paris; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on 
Thursday, December 30, 2004 at 11 a.m. in the RICHESON-WICKHAM AND ATKINS 
FUNERAL HOME, Saint Paris, with Reverend William Turner officiating. Burial 
will follow in Terre Haute Cemetery.
