Eaton, Sr., age 54, of Saint Paris went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 8:42 p.m. in Mercy Memorial Hospital, Urbana. He was born in Urbana on July 6, 1955 to the late Lloyd and Margaret (Bricker) Eaton. He retired in 2004 from Beach Manufacturing of St. Paris after having health issues. He was a 1974 graduate of Graham High School. Gary is survived by his wife, the former Kimberly Lawson whom he married on 3 October 1980. He is also survived by two sons, Gary (Holli) Eaton of St. Paris, Lloyd Eaton, III of St. Paris, one grandson, Bryant Eaton, three brothers, Terry Eaton of Bellefontaine, Donald Eaton of Saint Paris, Jack Cotterman of Oregon, three sisters, Linda Baker of Thackery, Pat Dovel of Thackery, Charlene Miles of Dayton, several nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by close friends, Roger and Missy Pope of Springhills. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Bob Cotterman and Lloyd Eaton, Jr. Gary enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and his favorite dog, Jason. He enjoyed going to Shady Bowl and Kilkare Speedway to watch his son Gary, Jr. race during the summer. He also enjoyed watching his other son Lloyd bowl. He loved to work on cars and helped anyone in need. Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Rosedale Cemetery with Reverend Gary Morgan of the Urbana Church of the Nazarene presiding. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 E. Springfield St., Saint Paris. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to Midwest Dialysis, the American Diabetes Association, or the Kidney Association.
