The Urbana Daily Citizen-abstract
Olajeane Kathleen Stradling Faulkner, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, 
aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, left home on earth to be with 
God in Heaven on Thursday, April 12, 2012. Meeting her at the gates along with 
our blessed Savior, Jesus Christ was her husband Richard and her mother, 
Sylvia, as well as many family members and friends that have gone before.

Jeanie was born April 21, 1931 in St. Paris, Ohio and was a 1949 graduate of 
St. Paris High School. She married Richard J. Faulkner February 8, 1951.

She was a faithful member of the Westville United Methodist Church, the 
Westville United Methodist Women and the Joy Sunday School Class. She served 
others in many ways and never wanted recognition, a very behind the scenes and 
a humble type of person. She had a card ministry and she spent many hours 
crafting cards for all occasions. She sent many cards to people she didn't 
even know, when she heard they had a need and wanted to brighten their day. 

Each grandchild received a special card of pictures and memories of the past 
year, including verses at birthday time. Her trademark, always found on the 
back of each card, was "To God Be The Glory OKF and the date." Jeanie enjoyed 
making creative cakes, birthday, wedding, anniversary, graduation, showers or 
any celebration or cause, just because of her love for others. Whatever the 
reason, if you asked for a cake she rarely said no. She also enjoyed working 
in her flower garden and yard and creating the many table decorations and 
displays for her church.

She is survived by her children, She is preceded in death by her parents, 
Sylvia (Grube) and Warren Timothy Stradling, her husband, Richard J. Faulkner 
and her brothers, James Scoby, Dana and Ronald Stradling.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012 from 
2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in the 
Westville United Methodist Church with Pastors Rev. Chuck Glover and Rev. Dr. 
Peter Bellini officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

Burial will take place in Nettlecreek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial 
contributions may be made to the Westville United Methodist Church, 76 N. 
state Route 560, Urbana, Ohio 43078, or to the donor's favorite charity.
