He was born Sept. 2, 1924, in Carter County, Ky., the son of William Thurman and Effie (Roseberry) Ferguson, who preceded him in death. On June 1, 1948, he married his 2nd wife, who survives. He is also survived by three daughters, a son, eight grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren; three sisters. He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Mr. Ferguson was a retired carpenter who had worked for Hines Builders in Troy. He was a member of the Christian Workshop Center near Christiansburg. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Christian Workshop Center, 3537 S. Elm Road, St. Paris, with Pastor Jim Fannin officiating. Burial will be in Upper Honey Creek Cemetery near Christiansburg.
