Springfield News-Sun-abstract
FOSTER, Ivan V. 84, of Springfield, Ohio went to be with the Lord on February 
19, 2005. He passed away at 7:45 p.m. in Mercy Hospital, Springfield. He was 
born on June 5, 1920 in Clark County, near Springfield. He was the son of the 
late Sterling and Margaret (Steele) Foster. He married his wife of 57 years, 
on February 15, 1948. He was instrumental in forming the Newson Missionary 
Church, St. Paris, Ohio and has been a member for 39 years serving as a past 
Sunday School Superintendent and Sunday School teacher. He was engaged in 
farming all his life and retired from Northwestern Local Schools. Mr. Foster 
is survived by his wife, Visitation and memorial funeral services will be held 
on Saturday, February 26, 2005 in the Newson Missionary Church, 9310 Cowpath 
Road, St. Paris, Ohio. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral 
services will be held at noon with Pastor Dan Phillips of the Newson 
Missionary Church presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be 
made to Newson Missionary Church for cushioned pew pads in memory of Ivan V. 
Foster. SUBER-SHIVELY FUNERAL HOME of Fletcher, Ohio is serving the family.
