SPRINGFIELD - Edith M. Gearhart, 89, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 
26, 2010, in Good Shepherd Village following a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 5, 1921, in Covington, the daughter of William and Addie 
(Knapp) Ford. Edith was a member of Story-Hypes United Methodist Church.
She was the loving wife of the late Howard C. Gearhart for 56 years and had 
one brother and 11 sisters, all of whom are now deceased.
Edith was the beloved mother to Larry (Dolores) Gearhart of Strongsville, 
Ronald (Deborah) Gearhart of Cable and Barbara (Kerry) Titus of Urbana; loving 
grandmother to Rhonda Gearhart, Carolyn (Dan) Nagy, Ryan (Holly) Ebrite and 
Jennifer (Branden) Watson; great-grandmother to Derek, Caleigh, Keenan, 
Michael, Brandon and Isaiah; and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday in the Richards, Raff & Dunbar 
Memorial Home, Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Memorial Home. Burial 
will be in Terre Haute Cemetery
