The Sidney Daily News-abstract
Effie M. Gold, 94, of Green Hills Center in West Liberty, formerly of St. 
Paris, died Sunday, April 28, 2002, at 2:15 p.m. at Mary Rutan Hospital in 
Bellefontaine. She was the mother of a Sidney man and a Quincy woman. She was 
born March 17, 1908, in Concord Township, Champaign County, daughter of Amos 
and Rebecca (Hanna) Allebach. On March 17, 1926, she married Harry E. Gold, 
who died Jan. 1, 1975. Survivors include two daughters, two sons, 15 
grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren. Two 
grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four sisters and two brothers preceded 
her in death. Mrs. Gold was a member of the Lena Baptist Church and was 
formerly employed by Nell Clem's Restaurant in St. Paris. She was a 50-year 
member of Diamond Chapter 84, Order of the Eastern Star, St. Paris, and a 
former member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, in Troy. Services 
will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Richeson-Wickham and Atkins Funeral 
Home, 216 S. Springfield St., St. Paris. Pastor Earnie Jones of Faith Baptist 
Church in Sidney will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, 
Conover
