"Dick" Grace, 84, of Urbana, passed boldly and bravely at 7:14 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, in Vancrest of Urbana Nursing Home. He was born Nov. 12, 1928, in Lockport, N.Y., the son of William H. and Agnes (Cramer) Grace. As a student at Urbana High School, Dick played on the Varsity basketball and baseball teams and graduated in 1946. He entered the U.S. Army where he was a Korean War Veteran, being honorably discharged in. On his return to Urbana, he worked for United Board and Carton, retiring with more than 25 years of service. He also retired from Bill McKeever Excavating. Dick enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, shooting, boxing and watching western movies. Survivors include his sister, Virginia Grace McKeever; nephew, Bill Jay McKeever of Urbana; his nieces, Karen McKeever, of Urbana and Julie (Andrew) Monnin of Piqua; great-nephews, Brett McKeever of Urbana and Stephen Monnin of Piqua; and great-niece, Grace Monnin of Piqua, as well as several cousins from the Buffalo, N.Y. and Baltimore, Md. area. "We all love you Dick." He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant brothers and a brother-in- law, Jack H. McKeever. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, in St. Mary Catholic Church, 231 Washington Ave., Urbana, with Father Greg Konerman celebrant. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the church from 9:30- 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery.
