She was born on February 10, 1921 in mad River Township, Champaign County, Ohio. She was the daughter of the later Rudolph and Tressie (Zerkle) Cook. She married Melvin J Greer on September 5, 1943 and he survives. She is also survived by three daughter, Irene Ihrig of Westville, Alice (Steve) Chamberlain of Urbana, and Barbara (Bob) Jordan of Christiansburg; six grandchildren, Ronnie (Patty) Ihrig of New Holland, Ohio, Ross (Jennifer) Ihrig of Orient, Ohio, Jodi (Kelly) Black of St. Paris, rick ( Tara) Jordan of St. Paris, Trent Chanberlain and Neal Chamberlain of Urbana; seven great grandchildren; three brothers, Robert (Shirley) Cook, Willis Cook and Evan Cook all of Urbana; one sister, Harriett Russell of Urbana; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Cook and three sisters, Doris Oney, Frances Stallsmith and live Cook. Marjory was a 1939 graduate of Westville High School. She was a member of the Westville United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women. She retired in 1980 from the Graham School District where she was a high school cafeteria cook. She was a devoted member of the Valley Garden Club of Westville and she enjoyed wintering in Ruskin, Florida for the last 17 years. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the ATKINS-SHIVELY FUNERAL HOME, 216 S. Springfield Street, St. Paris, Ohio with Pastor Anita James of the Westville United Methodist Church presiding. Burial will follow in Terre Haute Cemetery, Terre Haute, Ohio.
