HAINES, Jerry D. 70, of Urbana, Ohio, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009 in 
Nottowa, Michigan. He was born May 2, 1939 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, the son of 
Garth E. and Esther Elizabeth (Eshelman) Haines. Mr. Haines was a member of 
St. Mary Catholic Church in Urbana and U. A. W. Local 402. He was retired from 
Navistar following 44.6 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 51 
years; Diane M. (Trammel) Haines, five children; Forrest D. (Vicky) Haines, 
Urbana, Michael (Rhonda) Haines, Dayton, Tammy (Barry) Parcels, Urbana, 
Christina (Todd) Rose, St. Paris and Esther Haines, Urbana, six grandchildren; 
Brittany Haines (Fiance Nathan Hart), Brianna and Brandy Haines, Madison and 
Landon Rose and Lauren Rose, one great grandchild; Alexis Hart, one brother; 
Forrest K. (Jeanne) Haines, Eustis, Florida and several nieces and nephews. He 
was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held in the JONES-
KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday. A Mass of 
Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday in St. Mary Catholic 
Church with Father Greg Konerman officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale 
Cemetery.
