Last January Mrs Hance fell and injured herself and was forced to take to her bed in a few days. She was never able to be up after that. Mrs HANCE was born in Clark Co, Ohio, April 24, 1830, being past 89 years of age at death and one of the oldest residents of St Paris. Her marriage to Dr J F HANCE occurred in 1872. They made their home in DeGraff, Ohio where the husband died 33 years ago. She is survived by one sister, Mrs Rosetta EPPLEY of Dayton. Sixteen years ago she came here from Springfield after the death of her sister, Mrs Lambert POND, whose home she had kept open since that time and made a home for her nephew, U F POND. As a faithful member of the Bethel Baptist church of Clark county, she was ever faithful in her devotions and was an active member of the Home Circle of the local Baptist church. Rev J M SMITH will have charge of the funeral services which will be held from the home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in Evergreen cemetery.
