The Urbana Daily Citizen abstract
Mildred E. Harvey, age 72, of Fletcher passed away on Friday, Nov. 10, 2006 at 
9:25 a.m. in her residence. 

She was born on Feb. 20, 1934 in Champaign County, the daughter of the late 
Lewis and Margaret (Bair) Purtee. 

She is also survived by nine children. She was a loving grandmother to 21 
grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was 
preceded in death by a son, Harry Sterling, two granddaughters, and two 
sisters. Mildred was a member of the Troy Baptist Temple. Funeral services 
will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006 at 1 p.m. in the ATKINS-SHIVELY FUNERAL 
HOME, 216 S. Springfield St., St. Paris, Ohio with UVMC Chaplain Richard 
Dunbar officiating. Burial will be in Upper Honey Creek Cemetery, South Elm 
Tree Road, St. Paris. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 
8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, 2006 in the funeral home. Memorial contributions 
may be made to Hospice of Miami County, P.O. Box 502, Troy, Ohio 45373. 
Envelopes will be available in the funeral home.
